blaze. here s the latest from or west coast bureau. well, they think they know now. fire officials from one of the towns threatened by the blaze told fox news that the cause of the fire could be linked to marijuana operations in the national forest. that is where it started on august 17th. the chief said a pot farm is suspected, but stresses the cause is still under investigation, and yet to be determined. says based on the information the authorities already know, pot farming is a possibility. now mcneill brought that suspicion to light on august 23rd, during a community meeting. a video of that appeared on youtube although it wasn t meant to be the official word from calfire, his actual words were, quote, it was highly suspect there might have been in sort of elicit group. the marijuana grow type thing, he says. mcneill told fox news he is standing by what he said but

first city to authorize industrial-scale farms to grow medical marijuana. starting next year the city will issue four permits to massive pot factories which could be as large as 100,000 square feet. that is about two football fields each worth of marijuana, all of it within oakland city limits. supporters say it will create jobs and generate tax revenues for the northern california city, but small growers who currently supply weed to oakland s medical marijuana clinics worry they will be squeezed out by the big guys, kind of like a walmartization, if you will, of the weed business in k.so the big question today is pot farming going corporate? who will become the ernst and julio gallo of the marijuana industry? and what kind of a country has legalized corporate pot farming in one state and a year in jail in another? joining us now, founder and president of agri med jeff wilcox who is hoping to get a permit for one of the massive marijuana fields in oakland.
