The Crooks Fire burning south of Prescott is still at 1600 acres and zero percent contained. KNAU’s Melissa Sevigny reports, several areas remain under evacuation orders.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is evacuating some communities south of Prescott and has placed others on pre-evacuation because of wildfire.
Some Yavapai County communities were ordered to evacuate and several more were warned to get ready to leave. The fire is 10 miles south of Prescott.
