Spencer Wurtz, a Poway High School sophomore, recently held his Eagle Court of Honor in a private ceremony in a friend’s backyard. The 16-year-old is a member of Scouts BSA Troop 603 under Scout Master Gary Leeson. Wurtz, the son of Jeff and Dianne Wurtz, said he is a third-generation recipient of the Eagle Award.
