Rajkot: Rajkot Municipal corporation (RMC) has convinced four small crematoriums to start cremating Covid victims from Saturday onwards to reduce waiting time. RMC called a meeting of crematorium trustees on Friday and announced it will give more grants to crematoriums. Rajkot mayor Pradeep Dav told TOI, “Covid bodies will also be cremated at Rukhadiyapara, Popatpara and Thorala crematoriums, each having two furnaces. Navagam village in the outskirts which has three furnace also could be convinced to accept Covid bodies. This will significantly reduce waiting time at the crematorium.” D...
