KENDRAPADA: A Class IV student of a government-run school in Jajpur district died after a teacher allegedly forced him to do sit-ups as a form of puni.
A Class IV student in Odisha died after being forced to do sit-ups as a form of punishment by a teacher. The incident has triggered a probe by the district administration.
The student was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and from there to a community health centre. He was later taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
