Corbevax will be available as a precaution dose after completion of 6 months or 26 weeks from the date of administration of the second dose.
Earlier on June 4, DCGI approved Corbevax as a precaution dose for those aged 18 and above.
Covid vaccine news: In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar said as of August 1, a total of 9.07 crore (13 percent) precaution doses of the Covid vaccines were administered against the due beneficiaries.
The government had on July 15 launched a special 75-day special drive to administer precaution doses to all aged 18 years and above at public vaccination centres free of cost
