hat on, i started asking questions from lawyers, asking questions of the daughter of the late civil rights leader dr. martin luther king, who heads the king center. all of this just weeks before the 60th anniversary of the march on washington for jobs and freedom, a nonviolent march. from a man who died so violently who became a martyr. but he preached nonviolence. talking to doctor doctor bernice king, she said you know, generations of frustration. she said this was a oh hell no moment. however, nonviolence is the prescriptive. what does violence get us? as you see, there are more arrests happening. and also the gentleman who was defending in retaliation from what was happening by black men from white pontoon people who didn't want to move the boat, now he is arrested.

0ur campaign is to highlight and to try and create some change in the care system, allowing children to maintain people that are important to them, relationships that are important to them, so they don't have this kind of internal sense that i'm just not good enough. the mayor of london and the met police commissioner are calling on the mobile industry to help design phones in a way that discourages people from stealing them. they're urging leading providers to collaborate — like the car industry did with radios and sat navs — to help reduce robberies. nearly 70% of all thefts in london last year related to mobile phones. make the phones worthless if they are stolen. we don't want to be prescriptive with the ideas but we know there is innovation in these phone companies, both networks and the manufacturers, so these phones cannot be repurposed and sold on. when you look at their innovation when it comes to making new phones and making money, they're amazing.

now on finding those responsible? >> reporter: yeah, well, first as to, you know, the u.s. working with mexican authorities, the state department said yesterday that they are very grateful for the joint efforts of the mexican authorities working with the u.s. so it does look like things are working there in terms of, you know, the mexican officials taking the lead on this investigation and then of course sharing and allowing the fbi and the dea and others to be involved in that. that's an area of course that we will continue to watch. but when it comes to accountability, the state department, also the white house yesterday calling for accountability, calling for justice, but when i asked state department spokesperson what that will look like he said that the state department doesn't want to be prescriptive at this moment and said it's going to fall to law enforcement to design what that accountability looks like. i think it's a little bit early because we know that this investigation is still really kind of in the depths of trying to figure out who was responsible and how this all went down, but at the same time

pandemic tyranny, but it also strikes me as an area where there is a lot to actually do, and what are your thoughts about what you expect from the committee? >> what i hope to see from the oversight committee, what i think americans deserve to see is us looking at what can we learn from the experience of this pandemic and the government's response to it to prepare us for what might come next? the pandemic is not the first recession i lived through, and i said they fear it will not be the last, so what can we learn, for example, about how to prevent fraud in unemployment systems so that when we have to strengthen them, we're not at risk? what can we learn about preparing for public health emergency so that we're ready should be face another one? whether it comes from national security or other causes. i hope the goal here is to be forward looking and prescriptive, learning and thinking about what we can do better next time rather than simply attempting to point
