According to your algorithm, you found thousands of voters in georgia was affected by this and prevented from casting ballots last year. how did that happen? >> that's right. thanks for having me on. what we looked into was the effect of distance to the polls. basically how far do you have to drive from your house to the poll to cast a vote. that affected people's likelihood to vote. 214 voting places closed down after a decision in 2013 made it possible for states that previously had to get preclearance, basically ask the department of justice for help in making changes. that was struck down....
