Patiala: Nurses Day celebrated at Gian Sagar College of Nursing | Ludhiana News

PATIALA: Gian Sagar College of Nursing on Wednesday celebrated Nurses Day in the memory of Florence Nightingale. A webinar was organized on the occasion on Compassion Fatigue among Nurses.
Dr AS Sekhon, Dean of the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital, who was the chief guest on the occasion, lauded the nurses for taking care of patients in the Covid pandemic. He said during Covid-19, nurses have worked tirelessly on the front lines to ensure that people who need help are cared for.
The pandemic has taken a toll on nurses’ morale and mental health. Nursing, in general, is stressful and Covid-19 only amplifies that. He underlined the need to keep nurses emotionally engaged with their work to continue providing excellent care to their patients.
