BUT.THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH IS REPORTING A DECREASE IN REPORTS OF ABUSE OR NEGLECT. T HE STATEEP DARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES REPORTED .FROM APRIL THUGH RO AUGUST 2020 COUNTIES IN CALIFORNIA RECEIVED MORE THAN 121-THOUSAND CALLS IN 2020.COMPARED TO ME OR THAN 167- THOUSAND FOR THE SAME MONTHS IN 2019.
