Former Central Bank Governor, Emefiele In More Troubles As Nigerian Government Files 20-Count Amended Charge On Forgery, Fraud

  The President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government on Thursday threw the embattled former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, into more troubles as the government filed an amended 20-count charge against him at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The court document obtained by SaharaReporters showed that the fresh charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) include forgery, conferring of corrupt advantage and criminal breach of trust, among others.
