Victory Day celebrated in DU 494 DHAKA, Dec 16, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka University (DU) authorities today celebrated the 50th Great Victory Day paying tributes to the war heroes. The day’s programmes included hoisting of the national flag, placing wreaths at the national mausoleum at Savar, exhibition of documentary films and cultural programmes. The celebration heralded with setting off firecrackers at the base of Raju Memorial Sculpture at the Teacher-Student center (TSC) intersection around 12.05am, organized by a TSC-based students’ organization ‘Slogan 71′. In the morning, university teachers, students, officers and employees led by Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Akhtaruzzaman paid tributes to the Liberation War martyrs at the Savar National mausoleum. ....
