Afghanistan International TV: A spokesman for the Taliban’s Ministry of Promoting Virtue and Prohibiting Virtue said 15,000 mullahs had been recruited across Afghanistan. Mohammad Sadegh Akef said that among their missionaries, there are currently no Shiite mullahs, but the process of hiring mullahs from other religions continues. In an interview with Entekhab Media, he said that the fight against Western ideology in Afghanistan is one of the main plans of the Taliban in the coming years.
