It came to ensuring the safety of americans. that s what the executive order said. the authority is re clear, and i think you ll continue to see the president take the steps necessary to protect this country. that s why he s talking about fighting this on both fronts, making sure we keep evolving through the court system, and then looking forwards the next draft of the executive order that will continue to achieve the goal of protecting the american people. that s where we are, that s what the order says, and so i think we continue to feel confident that that s but it was crafted in a way that was very clear about the countries and was not focused on anything else but the vetting requirement we have to make sure that we know who is coming into this country and we re here not to do us any harm. talking about fulfilling his promising, can you explain why he decided to back down from that? i think he s made it clear, noah, from the beginning that ....

Difficult area to search. there s more rocks and ridges. i think expanding the search is the right thing to do and i don t think we should give up on the idea that those pings are real and they are from the aircraft. david, if you re saying that the first ping, they were not looking in that area even though it was the most promising, that sounds like the person looking for their keys under a specific street light because the light was better than where they actually lost their keys. it sounds like a bad decision was made. i don t think it s a bad decision. it s possible. it could be under the number four ping. but in my estimation and i m not expert. i ve got to quality that. but if you re looking at those pings and the dome it would have created from that ping, i would have started the search from within that area that it was most likely that the stronger signals were coming from. if we knew what the amplitude was of those pings, then you ....

If they don t come up with anything, they are going to have to figure out whether or not they are going to search another area using the bluefin-21 or reassess altogether. we understand the u.s. navy has discussions started about long-term search and recovery efforts. that may include even more resources, perhaps bringing ships back, resupplying everything and sending them back out in a much bigger way and with other equipment that would allow them to take a picture of the ocean bottom there in a much larger way, erin? miguel, thank you very much. and i want to bring in now richard quest, who joins me from kuala lumpur, where, of course, it s tomorrow morning. richard, more than two-thirds of this area they thought was the most promising has been searched, but they found absolutely nothing. now you have the typhoon about to come through the area. we could be socked when we get the update maybe the blue-fin found something, but it hasn t found anything before. ....

Ping was detected. it was detected for 13 minutes. the reason that is the most promising is because of its quality is the word they used. the details like many others have been coming like clock work we get them every day from australian authorities. in the search for answer, information has been harder to come by. just as pamela brown worked to pin it down but she did not stop there. the bottom line this is a tiny piece of the puzzle and experts and sources are trying to figure out what this information about the co-pilot cell phone really means. what we do know here is that if any of the passenger phones were on and not in airplane mode they should have dinged that cell phone tower as well. and considering 30% of people forget to turn off their phones it s likely not just the co-pilot s phone. but the co-pilot s phone should have been off. so the question of course looms was it on from the beginning of ....

As for the area itself we also just learned the search is happening where the second ping was detected, the one detected saturday april 5th, at 9:27 a.m. now the reason the navy tells the searchers the ping is the most promising is because of its quality. the word they used. those details like many others in the search come almost like clockwork. we get them almost every day from australian authorities. and the answers are much harder to come by. the answers about the co-pilot s cell phone. pamela brown worked on that, what did you learn? well, anderson this is just another tiny piece of the puzzle. and experts and sources are trying to figure out what this information about the co-pilot s cell phone really means. what we do know is if any of the passengers phones were on, they should have felt that ping. many forget to turn off their phones, likely it was not just ....
