Hong Kong: Non-bank money lenders - New guidelines on submission of business plan and fit and proper criteria
The Hong Kong Companies Registry, which currently performs the role of Registrar of Money Lenders pursuant to the Money Lenders Ordinance (MLO), recently released a new Guideline on Fit and Proper Criteria for Licensing of Money Lenders and a Guideline on Submission of Business Plan by Applicant of a Money Lenders Licence, both of which take effect 1 April 2021.
