House prices surge by more than £1,500 as over 100,000 buyers face stamp duty tax bill
HOUSE PRICES have increased by over £1,500 in yet another positive step for the UK's property market. However, as the stamp duty (SDLT) deadline approaches, Rightmove's latest house price index predicts that around 100,000 will fail to complete their transactions before March 31 and will be left with a hefty tax bill.
