POSEY CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Leaders for a newly proposed solar project in Posey County released its preliminary site plan on Thursday.
Project leaders from Tenaska say the plan is expected to create upwards of 250 jobs and pay more than $35 million over its lifetime.
An early look at where the project will land along Highway 62, extending west as far as McKennies Road.
Officials say the project had to be altered to make sure the boundaries fell at least 100 feet from neighboring property lines, as well as provide 250 feet between solar panels and non-participating residences. ....

In your paper (News, March 4), a shopkeeper tells of his business being threatened due to proposed works under the Crown Infastructure Partners economic stimulus shovel-ready project in Cameron Rd.
In my opinion, it is
beyond belief that in the same news item, a council employee states we need to act now to meet future needs by 2062 41 years from now.
Ok - we take this free $45m but it will clog Cameron Rd with cars and more empty buses for up to 20 years. ....

Auckland Council s latest budget has a sting in the tail for more than 8000 property owners facing proposed rate increases of between 16 per cent and 23 per cent.
Mayor Phil Goff s 10-year budget contains
an average rate increase of 5 per cent this year and 3.5 per cent thereafter.
However, a group of 7500 households and businesses in rural towns face a one-off average rate increase of 16 per cent from July this year, or about $430. A smaller group of 616 people on farm lifestyle blocks face rate increases of up to 23 per cent. ....

Geo News reported Thursday, citing a proposal  from the Ministry for Industries and Production.
The ministry has proposed to bring sugar prices down to Rs68, a 20 kg bag of flour to Rs800, and ghee to Rs200 per kg.
Moreover, a Rs50 subsidy will be given on tea, Rs20 on milk, and a Rs10-50 subsidy has been proposed on 19 essential items.
Similarly, a Rs20 per kg subsidy has been proposed for edible oil, Rs10-30 per kg on pulses, and Rs 20 per kg for gram flour.
The ministry has also proposed a subsidy of Rs20 per kg on dates, Rs10 per kg on basmati and ....
