Jersey City residents indicted in connection with murder of local teen

Jahquell Carter, Izmae Tinker-Trent, and Heavenley Cherry face various charges related to the murder of Tyeah Garner.
On February 11, a Grand Jury in Hudson County handed up an indictment of three codefendants for the July 6, 2020, fatal shooting of 17-year-old Tyeah Garner on Rutgers Avenue in Jersey City.
According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, the indictment charges Heavenley Cherry, 19, of Jersey City, with Murder, a crime of the first-degree; Conspiracy to Commit, a crime of the first-degree; Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, a crime of the second-degree; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a crime of the second degree. ....
