Their ancestry is. whether they come from europe, africa. you look at the size of the house and the size of the crime scene to collect data. that s why i suspect one of the reasons this has taken a while. there is a ton of dna around. think blood and hair in a house that has empty bedrooms, multiple crime scenes. you have to isolate the suspect s dna. is there a match that is two steps away, three steps away. i know there could be a lot of questioning why that testing took so long. you have a big crime scene. it s not clear the dna tests got them one stop away. it might be a third cousin once removed. then you have to back in and figure out who around pullman, washington, around the campus matches that. pretty tough. and how often do police use this kind of tool? this is becoming increasingly common. there are questions occasionally ....
