Pullman Transit expects to receive two electric buses in June and a third next year with help from federal funding.  The Washington State Department of Transportation notified Pullman city officials last week of a grant award bringing the third electric bus to the transit system, according to a news release by Pullman Transit and Dial-A-Ride.  According to the release, charging stations were installed in the Pullman Transit garage over the fall and winter with help from a state Green Transportation Capital Grant.  Federal grant funding is also responsible for the purchase of the other tw...

The City of Pullman and League of Women Voters of Pullman discussed how COVID-19 impacted city finances for the year during a meeting Tuesday afternoon. “Having to live through a time of all of these grand plans and things we want to do versus just keeping the lights on was not something I have not seen before, and that is why I did not panic,” said Mike Urban, Pullman director of finance and administrative services.  The city started looking at ways to provide services to community members during the pandemic.
