The foundational and socio-pastoral ministry of the Boljoon Parish holds dear in the memory of the Augustinians in the Philippines.

Cebu Congressman Edsel Galeos has filed a bill at the House of Representatives urging the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts and the National Museum of the Philippines to return to Boljoon town four pulpit panels that were donated to the museum.

The Municipality of Boljoon in Cebu has asked the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) to open an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the pulpit panels that were said to be stolen from the town’s church in the 1980s and found their way to the museum many years later.

The Archdiocese of Cebu is the rightful owner of the pulpit panels donated to the National Museum, says Archbishop Jose Palma, who also requested that these be returned to the church in Boljoon.

Two officials of Cebu Province are seeking the return of pulpit panels to Boljoon, a town in southern Cebu, from the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) in Manila.
