Rain during the winter months is not unusual for Maharashtra, which benefits from the occasional Easterlies blowing over the region.
KS Hosalikar, head of climate research and services, IMD, said they have identified two areas for installation of radars which would suit the various parameters needed to install radars.
If things go by schedule, withdrawal from Maharashtra would have started by October 5- 10. However, Hosalikar said this would be delayed.
