Kandal has demonstrated its “unwavering” commitment to become Cambodia’s first “open defecation free plus”, or ODF Plus, province.

Nuth Puth Dara, Vice Chairman of the CPP Committee of Kandal Province, on May 28, announced the inclusion of 138 former activists and members of the Candlelight Party and others, totaling 233, in Kandal province in the Cambodian People's Party.

A team from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) met with a working group from Kandal provincial administration on June 9 to discuss flood prevention systems and the drainage renovation system project in the province to ease the flooding in Phnom Penh that occurs during heavy downpours in the rainy season.
