More than two and a half years after a robbery attempt turned deadly, police in Tuscaloosa have charged a fourth suspect with murder for his alleged involvement in the case.
A fourth arrest was made in connection to a deadly shooting in Tuscaloosa nearly three years ago.
Through the course of the investigation, Brenygha Edwards, Justin Jenkins and Quartavius Hudson were arrested and charged with capital murder in connection to Leonard's death. Police, however, always suspected that a fourth person was involved.
The 2021 homicide list includes six victims under the age of 18. The total of 22 homicides matches the 2020 total, Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said.
