Delivery from Ikea? It could come to you by electric truck
The trucks will be used for home deliveries starting with Ikea locations in Boucherville, Quebec; Etobicoke, Ontario; and Richmond, B.C. in the fall of 2021. There is no word yet on whether their drivers will have to assemble them first. In a press release, Ikea said it has “taken an important first step on the journey to fulfilling its commitment of 100 percent zero-emission deliveries by 2025.” The company also said that by 2030, it plans to reduce more greenhouse gas emissions than it emits, even as it grows its business.
