South Korea shares a royal connection with Ayodhya, as per ancient legends. Descendants of Ayodhya's Princess, Queen Heo Hwang-ok, in South Korea consider Ayodhya their maternal home. With over 60 lakh people tracing their roots to Suriratna, these South Koreans eagerly watched the online consecration of Ayodhya's new Ram Temple on January 22 and are now excited about visiting the historic city.
