The Sydney Mardi Gras formal for those ages 12 to 19 is one to make friends, connect deeper with the queer community and dance the night away.

Organisers of the annual Brisbane Pride celebrations excited to present this years Queer Formal 2023, at Brisbane City Hall. This is free event for young queer people to celebrate in style and openly express who they are.

Brisbane Pride's new President James McCarthy shares with Star Observer plans for this year's Pride Rally and March and the return of the much awaited Queer Formal.

Queer Formal is an event for young queers aged 12 to 19 years looking to make friends, connect to their community, and of course, dance! Express yourself freely, wear what you want, bring the date you want, and celebrate your identity proudly with your community. Expect a night full of live performances, drag, special guests, and making friends. All gender and accessible bathrooms available, plus youth workers on site.
