On a little longer. the battle between former minnesota senator norm coleman and al franken took seven months. franken ended up wining that race. and republican bill brady con ceded today in the race for governor of illinois. he lost a very close contest to incumbent democrat pat quinn. this will be quinn s first full term in office after replacing rod blagojevich almost two years ago. in alaska, incumbent republican lisa murkowski expressing confidence she got enough votes to keep her seat but her tea party challenger saying he is not ready to con cede the race. he beat murkowski in the gop primary and she decided to run as a write-in candidate. write-in votes leading miller by more than 13,000 but it is not yet clear how many of those are for murkowski. a win would make her only the second senator ever to pull off ....
