Hate messages on dummy notes in Karnataka: Congress, BJP seek action | Mangaluru News

MANGALURU: Dakhina Kannada District Youth Congress president Mithun Rai and Mangaluru city south MLA D Vedavyas Kamath have sought stringent action against miscreants who dropped dummy currency notes with objectionable messages in the offering box of temples in the city.
On Sunday, Rai told reporters that the instances reported at three temples in the city were part of a larger conspiracy to derail religious harmony. He urged police to arrest the miscreants immediately by setting up special teams and added that such instances were reported earlier too.
“Dummy currency notes resembling Rs 100 found at religious shrines have messages that would trigger communal hatred. It is a conspiracy by people with perverted minds to sow seeds of hatred,” Rai said. ....

Mangaluru City South MLA D. Vedavyasa Kamath and Mangaluru South BJP SC Morcha have urged the police to take stringent action against those who have reportedly deposited fake notes with blasphemous writing against Hindus in the offering box of a daivasthana in the city.
In a statement here, Mr. Kamath condemned the act of miscreants who have deposited such notes in the offering box of Bhagavan Shri Babbuswamy Kshetra at Attavara Babugudde. One cannot tolerate acts of insulting religious feelings, the MLA said and added that stringent action needs to be taken against those who have been carrying out such acts intentionally. ....
