In the next two days, foothills, as well as the plains, will also see the spillover effect including Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, northern parts of Rajasthan as well as Delhi and the NCR region.
The hills of North India have been witnessing rains due to frequent Western Disturbances. Now also, a fresh Western disturbance has approached the western Himalayan region which will result in rainfall activity over the hills of North India including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh as well as Uttarakhand.
This Western Disturbance is expected to affect the hills until May 26th, giving good rain and snow in many areas. After this Western Disturbance, we expect the the weather of Western Himalayas to go dry.
From May 6th, weather activity will increase over the hilly state of Uttarakhand with the possibility of rain and snow over the region. The possibility of hailstorms also cannot be ruled out. The largest clearance will come around the 10th or later.
Temperatures will remain suppressed and will be around the high 20s until May 7. Some parts will in Rajasthan may see a maximum in the low 30s. Rise is expected after May 8 since the weather will clear up by then.
