The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall over several states of the northwest, northeast and peninsular India for the next few days.
Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Delhi, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana today.
The weather department said that a cyclonic circulation lies over the East-central Arabian Sea.
According to the met department, the southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from some more parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and the entire Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand on Friday.
The weather department on Tuesday afternoon informed that conditions continue to remain favourable for the commencement of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India during the next 24 hours.
