THE M62 has fully reopened following a serious crash in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday.

A MAN was taken to hospital following a medical incident on the motorway yesterday afternoon, Wednesday. The incident happened on the M62 westbound between junctions eight for Burtonwood and seven for St Helens and Widnes at Rainhill Stoops shortly before 3pm. One lane was closed by Highways England officers while paramedics treated the man, who is in his 60s. A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “An ambulance and rapid response vehicle went to the scene following a 999 call at 2.52pm. “We have taken a man in his 60s to hospital.” Comments are closed on this art...

OVERNIGHT closures will be in place at Rainhill Stoops Island this Friday to allow emergency road resurfacing repair works to be carried out.
