Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], January 2 (ANI): The 14-year-old boy from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) Ali Haider who crossed over to the Indian side "inadvertently" and was apprehended by SOG party in Poonch, will be sent back, said a police official on Friday.
While speaking to ANI, Poonch Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Angral said that the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Poonch district apprehended the boy near Batar nallah near village Ajote on Thursday night.
"On Thursday night, our SOG patrolling party of Poonch apprehended a boy near Batar nallah near village Ajote in Poonch. During interrogation, he told his name as Ali Haider. He is a resident of Mirpur in PoK," Angral said.

14-Year-Old Boy From PaK Apprehended In Poonch
A police official told news agency
GNS at about 17:00 hours, the boy identified as Ali Haider (14) son of Mohammad Sharief of Bandi-Abbasspur (Pak) was apprehended by SOG party-led by DySP operation Munish Sharma near Batar nallah near village Ajote in Poonch.
Whether he had inadvertently crossed could not be confirmed immediately. The boy is presently in the custody of SOG Poonch and investigation is going on, the official added.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral confirmed that the boy has been apprehended. He said further investigations are underway.

JAMMU: A minor boy from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) was held by Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu & Kashmir police in Poonch district on Thursday.
Police sources said, “The boy was apprehended near the Batar nallah in Poonch. It could not be confirmed immediately whether he crossed over inadvertently."
Police sources said investigations are on and his repatriation would be made only after establishing whether he crossed the border inadvertently.
Ramesh Angral, SSP of Poonch, said, "The boy has been identified as Ali Hadier, 10, son of Mohd Sharief, a resident of Mirpur Abbas in PoK."
Earlier on December 7, Poonch district authorities deported two teen girls who had inadvertently crossed over into the Indian territory from PoK in Poonch district.

In a joint operation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Army have recovered two pistols, 70 pistol-rounds and two grenades kept hidden in the bushes near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Dabbi village of Jammu's Poonch, officials said on Wednesday. The arms and ammunition were kept there by the terrorist handlers from Pakistan, and were recovered on the disclosure of three terrorist-associates arrested on Sunday. Poonch Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Angral said during the questioning of one of the arrested persons, Yaseen Khan, some vital clues were obtained after which a team of police and army launched an operation in the area of Dabbi and recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition kept in a polythene bag in the bushes. "Two pistols, 70 bullets and two grenades have been recovered so far and more searches are going on," SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said. He said the militant outfits were trying to target religious places in Poonch, but their nefarious designs have been foiled by the Army and the police. (IANS)

POONCH: The Jammu and Kashmir police and army recovered two pistols, seventy pistol rounds and two grenades kept in bushes near LoC in Dabbi village of Balakote sector in Mendhar sub-division on Wednesday morning.
Police said that the arms and ammunition were kept in bushes by militant handlers from Pakistan and have been recovered on the disclosure of three militant associates arrested on Sunday.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said that during questioning of arrested militant associate Yaseen Khan, some vital clues on his confession were developed after which a team of police headed by Sub Divisional Police Officer Mendhar Zaheer Jafri alongwith army launched an operation in the Dabbi area near LoC and recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition kept in a polythene bag in bushes.

JAMMU: Police on Sunday claimed to have foiled a terror plot to attack temples in the border district of Poonch with the arrest of three Pakistan-linked terrorists, besides recovering six grenades from them. The trio is said to be affiliated to J&K Ghaznavi Force, a newly floated terror outfit.
Two foreign terrorists of the outfit were slain in an encounter in Poonch’s Dogrian on December 20.
“Acting on intelligence inputs, a joint team of Army’s 49RR, J&K Police’s special operations group and Poonch Police set up a checkpoint at Basooni late Saturday and intercepted a vehicle driven by Mustafa Khan, a terror suspect, who was questioned for his suspicious movement. Mustafa confessed to his involvement in terror-related activities, based on which, two of his associates — Mohammad Yaseen and Rayees Ahmed, both residents of Dabbi, Balakote — were arrested,” Poonch SSP Ramesh Angral said.
