Print article A 31-year-old man was sentenced this week to 99 years in prison for killing the owner of an Anchorage paint shop in 2017, state prosecutors said Friday. Randall Igou, who was charged in 65-year-old Gregory Gill’s death, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in November. Surveillance footage showed Igou entering Aurora Paint Co. early the morning of Sept. 10, 2017; within two minutes, Gill had been fatally shot and the footage showed Igou walking out of the business with a cash box and Gill’s car keys, according to charging documents filed in the case. He drove away in Gill’s car and was arrested the next day after running into Cheney Lake while being pursued by officers.
