NLCB Fonclaire SAN Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello has expressed his sadness on the death of leader of NLCB Fonclaire Steel Orchestra, Milton "Wire" Austin, on Sunday. Newsday understands Austin, 79, died at his home in Pleasantville on Sunday morning. Regrello, who is also the leader of TCL Skiffle Bunch, said, "We have lost one of the real warlords of pan who would have transcended the decades, from the days of Terror." Medina passed away at his home in Diego Martin on Thursday. He was 75. In a Facebook post on Friday, Mitchell said T&T has lost a cultural icon. Pan matriarch Karen Codrington dies Karen Codrington, the mother of the popular pan band the Codrington Pan Family, has died. On its Facebook page the family band said Codrington died on December 15. They thanked everyone for their prayers and sentiments and asked people to remain patient until further updates were given.
