Sirohi Deputy SP Paras Choudhary told The Indian Express that the case against the two had been sent last year to the women’s police station for investigation, and that they had found the allegations to be false.
The Police had earlier said the allegations against the constable were linked to a criminal case in which a team of officials had gone to arrest certain accused. The complainant was an employee of one of the accused.

A plea has been filed before the Kerala High Court seeking a re-investigation of the Vandiperiyar rape and murder case, in which a girl who was around 5-6 years old was raped and murdered in Vandiperiyar, Idukki.
The court has also directed the convict to pay Rs.10,000 as compensation to the girl, failing which his jail term shall be extended by another three months
