Amid a deteriorating Covid-19 situation, the national capital on Thursday recorded its highest ever single-day toll from the disease in 24 hours as 395 deaths were reported.
The situation in Delhi has been quite alarming, with many patients not getting bed in hospitals, along with a widespread shortage of medical oxygen.
The city has recorded its highest single-day Covid toll even as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said there was no more panic on availability of oxygen . On Thursday, while 395 patients died, 24,235 new cases were reported. ....

Bengaluru, April 30 : As the second wave of Covid grips, Karnataka on Thursday recorded 35,024 fresh Covid cases with 270 deaths in a day across the state were registered, said the state health bulletin on Thursday.
With 35,024 new cases registered on Wednesday, the state s Covid positive tally and fatalities reached to 14,74,846 and 15,306 respectively, the health bulletin noted.
On a positive note, Karnataka saw a dip of around 4,000 cases compared with Tuesday s tally of 39,047 cases.
The bulletin added that with new cases there were 3,49,496 active cases which includes 2,431 patients in the ICU and 14,142 patients were discharged on Wednesday taking the total discharges to 11,10,025. ....

Recoveries continue to outnumber new corona cases in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jan 31 (IANS): Sustaining the healthy trend of recoveries outnumbering the Covid- 19 positive cases, Karnataka saw 547 patients getting discharged after recovery in the last 24 hours and reported 464 fresh Covid cases besides two fatalities on Friday.
The health bulletin released on Saturday stated that with 464 cases, the state s total infection count reached to 9,38,865 and the toll to 12,213 and 5976 active cases across the state.
The day also saw 547 patients getting discharged after recovery. Bengaluru Urban, with 233 cases, accounted for the most number of infections reported on Friday.
Cumulatively 9,38,865 Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 12,213 deaths and 9,20,657 discharges, the Health department said in a bulletin. ....
