On the morning of the 6th, local fishermen found a killer whale trapped in drift ice about 1 km off the coast of Rausu town. In footage taken by a private company using a drone around 10 a.m. on the6th, about 10 killer whales were seen in the ice-covered sea. Approximately 6 hours later, they were spotted about 2 kilometers to the northeast.
