Lamar County’s former Republican chair Ray Null is challenging Rep. Gary VanDeaver, R-New Boston, for the Texas House District 1 seat in the 2022 primary election.
Cat Parks, the state Republican vice chairwoman, will speak Friday evening in Lamar County. âSheâs pretty dynamic throughout the state,â Lamar County GOP Chair Ray Null said, adding Parks was speaking somewhere nearby before visiting Paris. âWe coordinated to have her here.â The meeting will start at 6 p.m. Friday in the Lamar County GOP office, 129 Lamar Ave. Kim Cox is a staff writer for The Paris News.
