AEW Dark: Elevation (Episode 9) Taped in Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight were on commentary and welcomed us to the show. Tony sent it to Justin Roberts for the introduction of our first match… 1. David Ali vs. Lee Johnson. Both wrestlers received the televised entrance. Lee Johnson defeated David Ali This was a good and competitive match that featured Johnson acting a bit cocky during some portions. Could this be a hint of an upcoming heel turn? Johnson and Ali had great chemistry working together, but Johnson won the match with the blue thunder bomb, running his record for the year to 5-1. Eddie Kingston defeated VSK Kingston worked the returning VSK’s head and neck for a good portion of the match. VSK looked good, but Kingston won with a roll-up after avoiding a frog splash. The Acclaimed defeated D3 and Fuego del Sol  This was The Acclaimed's second match back as a team following Anthony Bowens' knee injury as they returned last night on Elevation. Bowens flew in the ring with a hangman’s neckbreaker, pulling D3 down into a backstabber/lungblower from Max Caster.  A short time later, Bowens hit a flashy uranage and Caster came off the top with an elbow drop for the win.
