RAYNE, La. — KATC and Jim Olivier’s Family of Companies are at it again with Tools For Schools, heading to another classroom to deliver supplies that they need.
Anna Olivier tells us we're delivering supplies to Lauren Craton's first-grade classroom at Martin Petitjean Elementary.
"We applied for Tools for Schools because at the beginning of the year we’re stocked with these items but as the year goes on we’re running low and these are basic items that we need in our classroom," Craton says.
These everyday supplies that are needed to do the work, Craton says.

RAYNE, La. — The Rayne Police Department is looking into several complaints after residents have been scammed via Facebook Marketplace.
The department posted an update on Facebook saying "In each of the incidents, the scammer placed an item for sale, usually for about $100, and offered to deliver the item after receiving payment."
After the interested buyers sent the seller the money via a third-person app, the delivery never came, and the selling account was usually deleted.
RPD says that in order to not fall victim to this situation, it is important to not send any money until you are in possession of the item you've purchased. Additionally, they are encouraging users to pay via Facebook Checkout, PayPal, or other platforms that protect against scams.

RAYNE, La. — The City of Rayne has installed a new backup generator to the Rayne Water Plant on Fourth Street as part of a $2.4 million upgrade to the city's infrastructure.
The 400KW, three-phase natural gas generator was delivered to the city back in December and was installed this week.
According to Rayne Mayor Charles Robichaux, this upgrade is the first one received by the Rayne Water Plant in almost 60 years.
The new generator will replace the city's local generator, which ran on diesel and is no longer reliable.
