The 15 year old, who was a keen sportsman, died early yesterday morning following a battle with cancer. Rian was a talented soccer player with Shelbourne soccer club and also played rugby with St Mary s. When it was discovered that he was to lose a leg following treatment at Crumlin Children s Hospital, his friends at St Clement s College started a fundraising campaign to support Rian and his family to adapt their home.
