Later this week, the Iowa Board of Regents is slated to pick a new president for the University of Iowa. Three of the four finalists are women, all from outside the university. The fourth is a man, Daniel Clay, who's currently dean of the UI College of Education. In a trial scheduled for December in Polk County (the regents' headquarters), the university will be the defendant in an age and gender discrimination lawsuit brought by a College of Education employee.
