We’ve just passed the halfway point of winter, and as we head into February it looks like El Nino has had a strong grip on winter season up to this point.
This has been a crazy winter. We’ve seen more periods of freezing rain and rain then we’ve had snow. We are approaching February in two more days, and we haven’t even had 20” of snow yet. To make things even stranger is Wednesday many communities around the region will be flirting with record highs.
It was another day with record highs for some areas across the plains of Montana, and the warmth isn't about to end just yet.
The increasing clouds Wednesday will be the first sign of changes that will bring a big shakeup in our weather to close the workweek and begin the month of February.
Records warmth has already occurred for parts of the state and unusually warm temperatures will continue for the next several days.
