PRIMARY school pupils in Chard have been writing letters to care home residents. Residents at Yew Tree Cottage Residential Home, Hornsbury Hill, have received letters from students at The Redstart Primary School. The letters are being sent to "spread some intergenerational joy" during the Covid-19 pandemic. Sarah Amrbridge, owner of Yew Tree Cottage, said the residents were "delighted and thrilled" to receive the them. "It has put a smile on their faces," she said. PUPILS from a school in Somerset took part in an exhibition which has been displayed at The Octagon Theatre in Yeovil. Students from Castle Primary School in Stoke-sub-Hamdon, took part in 'The Show Must Go On' at the theatre. Corfe, Totnes and Dunster classes created work that is now on display as part of the exhibition.
