No new interim norms to regulate big tech players: CCI chairperson, ET Retail
Competition Commission of India (CCI) chairperson Ravneet Kaur said, "We are already enforcing regulations under the extant law to ensure fair competition in the digital market. We have investigated digital players (Google and Apple) and ecommerce players (Amazon and Flipkart) under the existing competition law and regulations. So, we don't plan to bring in fresh regulations until the government takes a decision on whether there is a need for a new law to regulate tech players."
