ARTICLE 2 of the Code of Ethical Conduct for Architects states that the architecture profession 'carries with it responsibilities toward the public, whether such responsibilities are the natural outcome of good citizenship or of his/her professional pursuit, or whether they partake of informative and educational matters or of his/her normal interest in public welfare.'
