Jan 02, 2021 11:13:02 AM The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has extended the rent freeze on residential and ground rents till 31 December 2021. This extension is based on assessment of the FCCC (Rent Increase Restriction on Residential and Ground Rent) Order 2018 (Rent Freeze Order), which was due to expire on 31 December 2020. FCCC chief executive Joel Abraham said many Fijians are currently struggling financially, with the COVID-19 pandemic having had an enormous impact on the economy and the assessment took this into account, in addition to other relevant factors. ...
