India's Financial Watchdog Crackdowns On Major Centralized Crypto Platforms Including Binance

The affected crypto businesses include Binance, Kucoin, Huobi, Kraken, Gate.io, Bittrex, Bitstamp, MEXC Global and Bitfinex.
It also told the information technology ministry to block their URLs for operating illegally in the country without complying with the local money laundering laws.
Apart from Binance and Kucoin, the other virtual digital assets service providers (VDA SP) who have been issued notice for not registering as reporting entities with the FIU-India are Huobi, Kraken, Gate.io, Bittrex, Bitstamp, MEXC Global, and Bitfenex.
In a release, the government said the body has issued "compliance Show Cause Notices to nine offshore Virtual Digital Assets Service Providers (VDA SPs)".
The FIU has also written to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to block the URLs of these nine entities including Binance that are operating illegally without complying with the provisions of the PML Act in India.
