KSL TV SALT LAKE CITY — Two members of Utah Task Force 1 have safely returned home to Utah this weekend. At the request of federal authorities, the two individuals were sent to south Florida on July 7 to help in the recovery efforts of the Surfside Champlain Tower collapse. The two members had spent more than a week on site in assisting local first responders. Disasters in my career. i can tell you i don't know we could have been anymore prepared than we were. our local first responders were prepared and had practiced for this have been. and they have come through shining. a regional partners whieg thle are taking care of themselves are assisting us. the state department of emergency management was prepared. they had assets predeployed to debt in here. now the roads being cut off has provide d a little bit of a snafu, but the airport was open so the coast guard started flying in here and tomorrow we'll g be getting most of our assets in my airframe....
